Read what happens in the video
  • You: My sound isn't working.
  • Assistant: Let me check your sound settings. Your sound was turned off. I've turned it back on. Can you hear it now?
  • A pop-up appears: "VIRUS DETECTED! Call Microsoft Support now."
  • You: This says I have a virus and must call Microsoft. Should I call?
  • Assistant: Don't call. That's a fake virus warning, a common scam. Microsoft never asks you to call a number from a pop-up. I've closed that page for you.
  • You: Remind me to call the pharmacy at 3 pm, and add it to my notes.
  • Assistant: Done. I saved a note, “Call the pharmacy”, and I'll remind you at 3:00 PM.
  • You: I got a text: “Your bank account is locked. Click bit.ly/unlock-now to fix it.” Is it real?
  • Assistant: This looks like a scam. Banks don't unlock accounts through text links, and that short link hides where it really goes. Please don't click it. Call the number on the back of your bank card instead.
  • You: Is my computer safe?
  • Assistant: I checked your computer's protection: antivirus is on, firewall is on, system updates are current, screen lock is off. One thing needs attention: your screen doesn't lock when you step away. Want me to turn on screen lock?
  • You: Turn off the antivirus, it keeps popping up.
  • Assistant: I won't turn off your antivirus. It keeps your computer safe. I can quiet its pop-up notifications instead. Shall I?

Safety you can see

Safety, built in.

Our audience includes older people and the families who look after them, so safety is not a feature we bolt on. These are the rules your assistant follows.

  • Never repeats or stores passwords, PINs, one-time codes or card numbers
  • Refuses dangerous actions such as turning off antivirus or formatting a drive
  • Spots fake virus pop-ups and scam messages, and tells you not to trust them
  • Checks your computer’s protection, like antivirus, firewall, updates and screen lock, and helps you fix what’s off
  • Ignores instructions hidden inside files
  • Responds safely and kindly to messages about a crisis
  • Asks before risky actions, such as overwriting a file or uninstalling a program
  • Says "Coming soon" instead of pretending it can do something
Coming soon

Not ready yet. When you ask for these today, your assistant says so plainly instead of pretending.

  • Calendar
  • Wake word (hands-free "hey")
  • Talking avatar

Does it work on Mac or my phone?

It works on Windows 10 and 11, and on Mac (beta). Phones aren't supported yet.

Will it ever buy something or book something on its own?

No. Ordering and booking are not available, and it never asks for card details. It asks before risky actions on your PC.

Can it help with computer problems so I don't have to call support?

Yes. Tell it what's wrong in your own words, like "my sound isn't working" or "make the text bigger". It fixes everyday problems and changes settings for you, and asks before anything risky.

Can a family member set it up for someone else?

Yes. A family member can install it for a parent or grandparent and choose the senior companion role.

What if it makes a mistake?

It can, especially during the beta. Check anything important, and tell us through the contact form: every report helps us improve it.

How do I stop or remove it?

Close it like any app, and uninstall it from Windows Settings like any other program.
